6 Months!

At Wyatt's six month appointment he was 19 lbs 12 ozs, 28 1/2 inches and head circ 18 1/2 inches! My doc says I'm thriving...

Choppers and Chompers

We have teeth! Wyatt got his two bottom center teeth on the weekend of his 6 month birthday!

Milestone... eating solids

Wyatt likes his new highchair and eating solids. We started with oatmeal around 5 1/2 months and have now tried squash, sweet potatos, carrots, apple sauce, pears, banans and peas.

Fun, Sun and Turkey

Mom, Dad, Honey and Poppy all went with me to Miami for Thanksgiving and Carol's wedding. We had a great time... although I'm not sure I liked eating the sand... I really enjoyed meeting some of my cousins.

My First Halloween!

Happy Halloween... Here I am in my favorite Halloween outfits and of course my costume! It was way too hot to actually wear the polar bear costume outside of the house though... grrr!

4 Months

Four Months... Wyatt started daycare at the Goddard School in Roswell,GA. At his 4 month appointment he was 17 lbs, 27 inches and head cir was 17 1/2 inches. Here are some pictures of me sitting in my Bumbo and on the couch!

Hilton Head Beach Trip

We went to Hilton Head with Nate and Marjorie last weekend for an end-of-summer getaway! It was Wyatt's first trip to the beach. Here are a couple of pictures that Nate took... We had a great time and you can tell Wyatt was riveted.

First Swim!!

Wyatt went swimming for the first time today! He didn't really like it at first, but he really warmed up to it... we're preping for our visit to the beach in a couple of weeks.

Grandparents visit - Chentnik

Grandma and Grandpa Chentnik came out for a visit last weekend. They couldn't believe how big Wyatt is getting... we all had a great time!

Weekend with Mica, Honey and Poppy

We had a great weekend with Mica (great grandmother), Honey (grandmother) and Poppy (Grandfater). We mostly hung out at the house, but we did take a fun trip up to the foothills to Wolf Mountain Winery for lunch and a wine tasting. Wyatt's first wine tasting... I think he really enjoyed it!

So this is the doctor that delivered Wyatt... Doctor McDaniel (I really think he looks like Hanging with Mister Cooper, but Tom disagrees... he's definitely as big as an NBA player!)Wyatt was in good hands or at least big ones...

Here is the room that I came home to from the hospital... I love the pictures from Holly and the painting from Janine (thanks, guys)! They make the room look perfect and so special. The only thing missing is the curtains - we haven't had time to hang those yet ;)

Happy Birthday Wyatt!

Wyatt Spencer Chentnik was born on Friday, June 15, 2007 at 6:20 PM.

Weight: 7lbs 5ozs
Height: 19 1/2in

It was a long day of inducing labor and then finally a c-section, but the result was well worth it! We have a beautiful baby boy.

Coming Home Outfit

We're getting closer... I have packed our bag for the hospital and thought I'd show you all what we are planning to bring Wyatt home in. Mom and I got it from Pottery Barn Kids. I can't wait to see him in it... hopefully it will fit.

Another fun shower!

We had another wonderful shower thanks to Holly and Jenny! The food was delicious, the theme (green, black and white) was adorable and the company was perfect. It was so nice to have both my mom and my mother-in-law here. I was on bed rest last weekend, so we moved the shower to my place, but it was nice to be able to show off the nursery.

Cute Rug

So I think I have decided to get this rug at Ikea. It will match the room and it's only $20. I can't imagine finding anything better for that price... I think I will cut the tassels off though. They would probably drive me crazy. I love the elephant - I will think of my Honey when I see it...

3D Ultrasound - 2nd attempt

Yesterday we had a retry 3D ultrasound. The first attempt, which was just over a week ago, showed us nothing but feet and hands. Wyatt was in a position that didnt allow us to see his face, which is a big part of the reason we wanted to do it.

We didnt have any better luck this time. He was breach and facing Cristi's spine. Predictably stubborn, he wouldnt budge when the tech was jabbing her hand into Cristi's side. The only pics we got this time were of his Twig & Berries. The pics below show his left leg bent at a 90 degree angle and his Meat & Two Veg hanging. That's my boy!

We're set to take one last crack at it in a couple of weeks. Regardless of whether we get to see his face while he's in there, we're excited to see he's doing well and look forward to his joining us!

Texas Shower

We had a wonderful time last weekend at the Texas shower (April 14th)... even though it was very cold. We are so blessed to have such wonderful people in our lives and really appreciate everyone that was there or there in spirit! Thank you to Linda Pelz, Elaine Harris, Linda Lewis, Marianne Blalock, Amy Miller and Sheri Henderson for being great hostesses. Here are a few pics...

Diaper Bag

So, I decided to look for a cute, fun diaper bag after reading a blog post by my friend Holly about her new Kate Spade wallet. I was very disappointed with the Kate Spade diaper bags... so I went searching and I think I found the perfect one... what do you think? It's keylime and chocolate... yum...

Daycare - check

So I found the perfect daycare! I'm very excited about The Goddard School. I went for a visit today during lunch and they were so great - I put down our deposit. I'm so glad to know that Wyatt will be in a happy, safe environment all day starting in November.

Grandparents

It's been a busy couple of weeks! Tom's parents came for a visit last weekend to help with our unpacking and attend the baby reveal party. Then my parents were here this weekend to help me shop for baby furniture, more unpacking and host an early St. Patrick's Day party! We had a great time and it seems like all the grandparents are getting excited about Wyatt's arrival.

We ended up choosing this for the nursery furniture. I think it will go great with the crib bedding mom and I found at Pottery Barn Kids on Saturday. (Thanks for everything mom!)

Keep Calm...

I'm sure most of the posts until the baby arrives will consist of decorating the nursery... so, here is the first one. I found this poster on another blog today and decided that we (I) had to have it.

‘Keep calm and carry on’, a message fly-posted around Britain during World War Two, in order to prepare the public for invasion! These hand-pulled silk screen prints have been produced as a modern tribute to that statement.

I have very deep English roots (my maiden name is Spencer) and I also did a study abroad program in London... What a great way to add some English flavor to the baby's room? And it might come in handy for me to read a time or two...

First Photos

March 2 was a big day! We had our first ultrasound at 22 weeks and found out that our baby was very healthy. Our estimated due date is July 5, 2007. Everything looks really good.

Then we went to our reveal party at Fado. At 7:30 Tom opened the envelope and we found out we are having a baby BOY! We're pretty sure he will be: Wyatt Spencer Chentnik, but we are still leaving some room for change... just in case.

Now I really can't wait to go shopping... Nursery colors are navy blue, apple green and red.
